Another no-win situation brought on by allying ourselves to a strategic, "alleged" ally's enemy for a short-term goal that's lasted forever. You'd think we'd learn.

Naturally, I think Turkey is in the wrong because it's Turkey, and full of Turks :) I think there is a workable solution that should also appease Turkey, except Erdogan is determined to not be. Unfortunately for the rest of the World, Turkey has a NATO vote, and is dead-center in the Ukraine-Russia war.

IMO, mutual defense agreements should be not only strategically beneficial/sound, but ideologically sound. The World map and its mutual defense agreements are starting to look as dysfunctional as those that led to WW I.
