View Full Version : Why is South Africa's navy joining exercises with Russia and China?

Not that they matter in any real World scenario, but I sure as Hell wouldn't be tying my fortunes to Russia and China. I have seen no model that projects either/or, or by combination they come out winners in anything.

First thing that came to mind was China's Belt and Road program, but South Africa is not listed. However, going down that rabbit hole:
