The BBC take on it. Biden is so melodramatic. Is it wrong that I never watched a thing Obama said on the tube, but am tempted to watch Biden just in case I can see what his next f*ckup is going to be? Falling down, shaking hands with invisible people, etc

In fact, I have not watched a US President speak since watching Billybob Clinton wordsmith his way around sex. Just not worth the aggravation.

Interesting take. I'd say everyone's the losers, but neither government nor its lackey MSM is going to paint it that way.

Yay, we won more debt! I ain't paying shit. :slap:What we got was another theatrical distraction from anything that matters while the clowns put on a show that came to a scripted, open end.

All of the American people who are not Politicians...LOST.

How many of us have grandchildren who still have to be told...
"They will be in debt forever unless Washington Prints more Monopoly Money for them!"
What have the Democrats been doing with the following rules?
And, since most of us will be gone. Their Socialism Life will Run Out of Other People's Money Really Fast!

Frightening. Especially given the new generation(s)

Frightening. Especially given the new generation(s)The "our grandchildren ..." argument has always annoyed me. Extremely cheap trick by government to lay on the guilt trip and justify taking more of what you, not they, earn. Which generation didn't start out in the hole?

Said it a million times: if we handled our personal finances the way the government has handled the People's, we'd be in jail and the IRS auctioning off everything we own to suck the last bit of life out of us.

Where in any of this do the People have a say? Our vote? That's a joke too. Government has made it next to impossible for anyone to redress grievances in any meaningful, timely manner.

I agree with whoever said this was nothing more than political theater. The daily function of a system is going to drop dead on the spot because two groups of pointless idiots can't agree in how they want to waste the money they steal from us? Not seeing it.

Fear not! Our Savior, the US Government, handled it for us

Need to get with the times. Your age is showing. Like the US deficit, there are lots of zeroes behind those Monopoly money amounts now :)
