U.S. Admits Defeat In War On Russia And China

Confronted with the realities of life the Biden administration has in the last days acknowledged defeat in two on its most egregious and delusional foreign policy games.
The Ukrainian counter-offensive has failed (https://www.moonofalabama.org/2023/06/on-the-failure-of-the-ukrainian-counterattack.html). Its army is getting slaughtered on the battlefield. The 'counteroffensive' of the 'NATO trained' Ukrainian brigades has made no real progress (https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/ukraine-may-be-pausing-counteroffensive-says-institute-for-the-study-of-war/ar-AA1cJdQ3) on any front. The high level of losses of men and material make it impossible that it will ever again regain the initiative.
The U.S. aim was to integrate the Ukraine into NATO. It would then have been able to station U.S. troops in Ukraine and to put its weapons into reach of Moscow so that any independent Russian move could be countered with a threat of imminent annihilation.
After more than 20 years of pursuing that aim the U.S. threw the towel (https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/4055273-biden-wont-make-it-easier-for-ukraine-to-join-nato/):

President Biden on Saturday said he won’t make it easier for Ukraine to join NATO, adding that the country at war with Russia has to meet the requirements to be a member.
“They got to meet the same standards. So, I’m not going to make it easier,” Biden told reporters. “I think they’ve done everything relating to demonstrating the ability to coordinate militarily, but there’s a whole issue of is their system secure? Is it noncorrupt? Does it meet all the standards … every other nation in NATO does.”
And yes, that is a change. A big one:
Biden has reportedly previously expressed that he is open to removing the Member Action Plan hurdle for Ukraine to join NATO, which requires countries that want to join the alliance make reforms militarily and democratically.

Still, it is not enough (https://www.indianpunchline.com/biden-walks-back-on-ukraines-nato-accession/):
Biden has not said anything new. Biden senses that the US lost the proxy war but he must not and cannot admit it. So, in the absence of a time machine, which could have taken him all the way back to 1999 when the NATO’s expansion began unfolding, Biden simply walked back to the default position of the 2008 NATO Summit at Bucharest (https://www.nato.int/docu/update/2008/04-april/e0403h.html) welcoming Ukraine into the alliance via the MAP route — as if that moment fifteen years ago is now the past and cannot be pulled back to the present. Russia is not going to accept it.
Though packaged in nice words the European Union gave Ukraine a similar negative outlook (machine translation):

An EU report on Ukraine's membership bid states that Kiev has so far met two of the seven conditions required to start formal EU accession negotiations....

A very big question.
Why the hell would our government admit that!!????
Are they encouraging a war?
Makes no sense at all except that many of them are lib/socialists themselves..............---Tyr

For instance: Biden allegedly states he won't make it any easier on Ukraine to join NATO, they have to meet the same standards as anyone else. First, that's not Biden's decision. It's NATO's. And why would anyone assume Biden or NATO was going to make an exception to the rules it hasn't made for anyone else? Contrived situation.

Ukraine is currently doing no better nor worse than predicted. On a static field of battle with drawn lines, the attacker ALWAYS incurs high casualties. Not that hard to figure out when Ukraine is exposing itself to assault positions Russia has had all winter and spring to fortify. Not to mention neither side reports its own casualties while exaggerating the enemy's.

There's a whole lot of media-fueled expectation in the West of some immediate, overwhelming victory, ignoring the WWI-style, static trench warfare that is the reality of the situation. Demanding instant gratification is a serious flaw in the West, especially the media. The MSM doesn't get an Earth-shattering event every day, so it creates its own controversy.

The fact alone that Ukraine still stands is testament to the fact that Russia is not winning on the battlefield. If Russia "wins", it will be because of impatient, war-weary Western countries that have forgotten how to win. Russia currently occupies 20% of Georgia in a UN-brokered cease-fire. I would suggest Russia is going for the same here. The West pressuring Zelenskiy to do the same, allowing Russia to keep what it has, upon threat of withdrawal of support. Not like we haven't already seen this movie

Biden speaks with forked tongue on China. Talking shit while selling us out. Blinken just got through stating the US does not support Taiwan's independence. What exactly is it the US supports then? We don't support Taiwan's independence but if you attack Taiwan we will respond militarily? THERE's a stance

I still think that when Biden met with putin he said "look jack. Ukraine will become a nato member period. "
