He was too busy trying to get Powell to keep the rates low which juiced the inflation possibilities not to mention all the stimulus he wanted to cram through. The first part is just like when LBJ was jawboning McChesney Martin to keep rates low in the 60s which begat the inflation of the 70s IMO.

The comparison is other Republicans running who do not have the huge character flaws that trump has.
