Matt Taibbi: How the Left lost its mind
One of the reporters who worked on exposing the gov't influence & censorship with the 'twitter files'.

Interesting talk from someone on the left who's been excommunicated by his own side for not jumping on the BS bandwagon of RussiaGate and for working on the twitter files.

one thing that he says in this interview that jumps out at me is this.
He says that he, and the others working on the twitter files collectively, came to the overview that
the gov't had begun working with the twitter years ago creating this large infrastructure to mitigate "terrorist influences" on the platform. ...and as that threat seems to diminish, those same tools in infrastructure were then turned on Trump and anti establishment populism as they began to get traction.

Gunny as you said in another thread.
Somehow we don't learn our lessons.
ANY unconstitutional tool you give gov't to use on "the bad guys" can potentially (will probably) be used on the "good guys" or you and your family.

that bit starts at about the 12 minute mark.

Here is the sorry state our federal government is in as of now= just figure they are lying, and/or they are wrong about 95% of the time.
And that is a safe bet...-Tyr

What's the right's excuse? Because anyone being honest about it knows they've bot lost their collective minds...

While that is true, one side is quite a bit more lost, more corrupted and more arrogant about it.
Failure to recognize that little tidbit makes a world of difference imho.... :saluting2:--Tyr

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kfyw3xA2hv0I agree with that. If you look at most of the abuses currently committed by government, they started with good intentions. Once they accomplish their mission(s), they have to create something to justify their continuing existence.

One of the main, original purposes for creating the FBI was to go after the mob and its interstate crime that flaunted jurisdictional controls. Now look at it. It is only one of countless Federal agencies doing the same.

do you feel you have won something with this superficial criticism?Other than the irony of you twice in as many days presuming to tell others what they know on topics you can't even spell?

Nope. Pretty much covers it. And you

Taking two or more views on a given subject and pooling the factual common denominators generally leads to the truth. Freshman journalism 101.

Restricting one's self to one version of events generally leads to an uncorroborated, myopic view which easily can lead to faulty viewpoints, tactics and/or strategy and makes one nothing but a blind follower.
