The White House has said that President Biden wasn’t involved in his son’s business affairs and has done nothing wrong. Democrats have painted the probe as unfounded and an effort to get political payback. No evidence has pointed to President Biden benefiting personally from his son’s business affairs.
McCarthy said the inquiry effort will be led by Rep. James Comer (R., Ky.) of the Oversight Committee in coordination with Rep. Jim Jordan (R., Ohio), the chairman of the Judiciary Committee, and Jason Smith (R., Mo.) the chairman of Ways and Means.
