Been wondering about this as far as the budget is concerned. Support McCarthy's CR or no? Now it's do they support his ouster or no. Any way you look at it, the Republicans come off as weak and divided.

Here's another "plan". Definitely would cost Republicans. Better explanation of situation.

I didn't think this was going to pass the house. Only takes a few defectors.

Dems would be smart to get rid of Biden. Except then we (and they) get Harris. Which could make it worse for them.

They are weak and divided. You've got the bullies and the traditionalists. While the trads aren't going anywhere soon, they will not stand up to the bullies.

Not if they can convince him to just not run again. If Harris isn't tied to him as veep she'll never be the pic.

I think that's extremely unlikely.

Yup, some big ifs.

Dems would be smart to get rid of Biden. Except then we (and they) get Harris. Which could make it worse for them.Been saying this for awhile:

Why should the Dems get rid of Biden when they've got the Republican't's doing it for them? When all is said and done and the smoke clears, the legit reasons will be lost to a narrative of "the Republican't's impeached Biden as tit-for-tat, partisan reasons. A message that will be reinforced hourly by MSM propaganda until it becomes truth to the sheep.

The Republican't's have been a day late and a dollar short since at least 2008 getting any real message to the sheeple. Their timing has been horrible. They aren't capitalizing on nor emphasizing the complete screw-ups the Dems are. Don't remember the last time I heard: "We are the Republican party and we stand UNIFIED for ....".

They'll be lucky to hold the House in 2024.

wrong.

you're leaving out the very big trump splash made with the sorely needed economic populism he brings to the table, with great success.

are you revising history in real time?

you're leaving out the very big trump splash made with the sorely needed economic populism he brings to the table, with great success. Not about Trump.

If you wish to discuss the "big splash" Trump made with his meddling in the midterm elections and costing the Republicans seats in the House and Senate which would have rectified this situation by rendering 5 votes bothersome but unnecessary, start another thread on that topic.

you are just factually wrong with your "no message since 2008" stuff.

Meantime, the issue is where the Republicans stand as far as getting just a continuing resolution, never mind the budget they're supposed to have. While the spectre of Trump hangs like a black cloud over current events due to his meddling, the topic is not about him.

It explains the WH's position on the current situation in Congress regarding the budget and possible government shutdown. The topic of the thread.

The Republicans are giving themselves a PR beatdown. IIRC, this kind of drama is one of the primary reasons Biden currently occupies the WH.
