this morning it looked as though a zillion spiders left webbing covering most of the front yard. Anybody see this before?

Itsy - bitsy spiders

Many have noticed spider webs on ground covers and shrubs in recent weeks. The webs often are covered with dust or morning dew, making them even more conspicuous. In late summer, populations of predators, including spiders, tend to build up.

The itsy bitsy spider
Crawled up the water spout
Down came the rain
And washed the spider out
Out came the sun
And dried up all the rain
And the itsy bitsy spider
Crawled up the spout again
