In an instance like that, yes. Also, If the Ukraine had decided to keep some of their nuclear weapons, Russia would have never tried to annex the Crimea. Or attack the rest of the Ukraine.

Not "sins", it's "mistakes" if the the U.S. does it.
"a few mistakes" over the years.
"People of their time" and the like.

But in more recent times how about agreements with the Kurds?
& Verbal and other agreements Not to expand NATO?
Agreements with Iran?
The US have any international agreements about not to blow up gas pipelines of allies &or those we are not at war with? I guess not.

I believe one should keep one's word without a damned good reason why not. I do not answer for politicians We, the People put in office knowing beforehand they are lying to us. What else to expect from liars but lies?
