Two states for two peoples

In 1947, the UN General Assembly decided to create two states, Jewish and Arab, in the Mandatory Territory of Palestine, administered by Great Britain, the borders of which are shown on the map.

On May 14, 1948, the Jewish State was proclaimed - the goal of the founder of Zionism, Theodor Herzel, who in 1896 wrote that the “Jewish question” could only be resolved through the creation of a Jewish state, was achieved. The basis of his “Jewish question” is the postulate: “The nations among which Jews live are all covertly or openly anti-Semitic.”
In this regard, Herzl believed that Jews should be given the opportunity to create a national state somewhere. Herzl proposed Cyprus or the Sinai Peninsula as territory for a Jewish state. The search for a place for a national Jewish state continued for many years. Various options were put forward: in Poland, in the Russian Empire in the Pale of Settlement, in British Guinea, in Argentina, in Australia on the island of Tasmania, and even in America in Alaska. It must be said that Crimea was also considered in this regard. Thus, the leaders of the Jewish Anti-Fascist Committee Mikhoels, Fefer, Epstein wrote a letter to Stalin on February 15, 1944, regarding the creation of a Jewish Autonomous Republic in Crimea. Precisely republics, not regions. It may well be that this was one of the reasons for the hasty deportation of the Crimean Tatars as the indigenous population of Crimea on May 18-20, 1944. Stalin hesitated for a long time to answer, and in the end, when he no longer needed the help of American Jews, he shot the entire anti-fascist committee in its entirety. (1) True, it should be noted that Stalin made a lot of efforts to establish Israel, and rather to spite Great Britain, but also in the hope that the Jewish state would become socialist, given Ben Gurion's commitment to socialism.

No matter how it was, fate decreed for the best. The European Holocaust convinced Jews around the world of loyalty to the ideology of Zionism and the creation of a state for the Jews. The Jewish state was, I would say, recreated 3,300 years later precisely on the territory where the kingdom of King Solomon was located. However, if we follow strictly historical facts, then the Jews have more rights to Egypt than the Arabs living in it, since the Jews as a people came out of Egypt when there were no Arabs there at all. (2) The determination of the Jewish people was rewarded, however, for the Arabs, who lived in Palestine since 632, the date of the formation of the Arab Caliphate, what happened was a complete surprise and turned into a tragic consequence:
- about 5 million Palestinian refugees scattered in surrounding countries and loss of territory:

Due to Israeli settlement activities, practically nothing remains of the territory intended for the Arab state. The Palestinian population lives under apartheid, behind a concrete wall and barbed wire fence, and provides cheap labor for the Israeli economy.

There is a constant quiet seizure of territory for the Jewish state, which leads the Arabs of Palestine into an embittered state, which is expressed in endless terrorist attacks and attacks against Israel, and this despite completely incomparable values, both in losses and in means of warfare.

The Middle East Arab-Israeli conflict, which is claiming thousands of lives on both sides, is celebrating its 75th anniversary, so to speak, with no end in sight. It cannot be said that efforts were not made to end the bloody confrontation. In 1991, under the auspices of America, the Madrid Peace Conference was held, which began the so-called peace process (3), which by 1994 was marked by the “Oslo Accords” between Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization, which caused sharp rejection by the right camp of Israel. As a result, the assassination of Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin. (4)

The process of peace negotiations, which began with such difficulty, thanks, first of all, to the policy of the White House, after the political assassination of Yitzhak Rabin, came to a dead end, the way out of which the Palestinians found in war. In a war that has become an attribute, or rather a way of their life, and even death, so to speak, because violent premature death is a common occurrence both in the life of the autonomy and in Israel. The threat of death does not stop the Arabs of Gaza from launching Qassams towards the nearest Israeli cities. Unable to prevent shelling, the Israeli army acts on the principle of revenge in response to terrorist attacks and rocket attacks, which, in principle, as reality shows, does not change the situation.
In 2002, Saudi Arabia came up with a peace initiative:

– all Arab countries recognize the State of Israel,
– Israel liberates the occupied territories, does not interfere with the return of Palestinian refugees, East Jerusalem receives the status of the capital of Palestine.

Even the leader of the Israeli right, former Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, recognized the fact of occupation.

Israel's rejection of the Saudi peace initiative, which is a reflection of the principle of "two states for two peoples", was the cause of radicalization in the Palestinian environment and the rise to power of Hamas, whose leaders see in the endless peace process only the continuation of occupation and apartheid against their people, because The conditions created by Israel in the occupied territory of a failed state for the Arabs of Palestine cannot be called anything other than a reservation. The population of the territories is beginning to lose hope in the reality of the changes promised by the treaty. It turns out, as the Palestinians imagine, that Hamas leaders are right when they call for a boycott of any dialogue and claim that only the destruction of Israel as a state will solve the Palestinian problem.

In my opinion, the UN made its main mistake in 1947 to create two states on the territory of Palestine for two peoples - the Jewish and Arab states, without first ensuring their security by introducing UN troops to the partition border. Taking into account that the Ashkenazi Jews, namely they then represented the people of Israel, and the Arabs are so different in terms of mentality, culture, Faith, level of civilization, then their confrontation, which resulted in an endless bloody war, could have been foreseen in advance.
The UN must correct its mistake, otherwise peace will not be achieved in the Middle East. (5)
