Well... when more than 60% of voters disapprove of overturning Roe... expect Democrats to make some inroads this year.

I'll take the under on democrat inroads... at least on the abortion issue. I'm guessing it's a turnout election and won't repeat in November. And I base that on extremely little current research. :hide:

so I guess we can all admit now that A LOT of Republicans don't really care about abortion.
If it means Republicans won't get elected.

"same as it ever was"

It is interesting that so many "pro-life" republicans have the same basic mind set that Bill Maher has come to.
"Yes, it's killing a baby but..."

Many may not but you don't seem to acknowledge the rightward movement on the issue.

I cant say I disagree with that.
there's more light on the subject now than in decades.

"If you want to argue that Republicans should avoid the abortion issue during an election, fine.
I’m not sure I agree in all cases but I understand the political tactic.
But now we have Republicans coming out and explicitly denouncing pro-life laws while parroting Democrat pro-abortion talking points.
This is not only a cowardly knife in the back to your base but also political suicide. You can’t win votes by being a watered down Democrat. That only alienates and demoralizes your own supporters. How many times do Republicans have to learn this lesson"

I'm certain there are Republicans that would be in favor of same regarding abortion as many Dems. Personally I am prolife, with exception of rape, incest, and physical health of mother. In any case, I believe the correct argument regarding overturn of Roe v Wade is not abortion, but level of government decisions should be made. State v federal and it's now at state level.
