Apple Inc.'s profit surged 67% in its fiscal fourth quarter, helped by a slate of revamped iPods and its new iPhone as well as continued strong demand for Macintosh computers.

Good for them. I still have my Mac SE, my first computer that I bought in the late 80's. It was much easier to use than the old IBM ATs of that era. I had a series of Macs after that on a roughly 3 year replacement schedule. But I got tired of dealing with the lack of engineering software, so I went PC 7 years ago.

Steve Jobs is certaintly creative, and as long as he can keep Bill Gates from stealing his ideas he'll continue to do well.
