Will any Democratic person running for office have the guts to support these folks?

Democrats clash on immigration policy
Tensions in party rise to the surface

In a September television spot, McCaskill sat at a kitchen table and looked directly into the camera. "Let me tell you what I believe in," she said. "No amnesty for illegal immigrants."

These newcomers include Representative-elect Heath Shuler of North Carolina, who "is against amnesty," said spokesman Andrew Whalen. "If there's friction with the party [on the issue], there's nothing we can do about it; his views really do reflect his district."

What will the Democratic Party do about these “wrong thinkers?”

This morning I received an email from Roy Beck of NumbersUSA.org on:(This is a clip of the email)

North Carolina Democratic Representative Heath Shuler will soon be introducing a great immigration enforcement bill:

The SAVE ACT (Secure America with Verification and Enforcement)

This bill (it will have no bill number until introduced) is far more than a gesture to show that Shuler is on the side of the American workers.

Congressman Shuler appears to be deadly serious about getting this bill enacted and removing the jobs magnet for illegal immigration. He is moving the ball on this bill a whole lot better than he did as an NFL quarterback, completing passes to fellow Representatives every day as he gets their signature as co-sponsors on the floor of the House.

Will these roughs get traction or will the House/Senate leadership be able to keep them silent?
