I can hardly stop laughing after watching the House dealing with Dennis Kucinich's Resolution to Impeach Cheney. House leader immediately submitted a table resolution on the Kucinich resolution... a fifteen minute vote followed that lasted well over an hour as house leadership had a cold sweat as an overwhelming majority overturned the table action. Later the House leader offered a hold your breath resolution to send the action to the Justice Committee (because it was such an important issue)... the house dems held with the leadership.

The Republican leadership begged to debate the Kucinich resolution so they could activate the far left within the Democratic party... now it is up to Dennis to call the House members turncoats!

I think this falls under the category of being careful what you wish for...

I just caught this blurb from The Hill:

Republicans keep Cheney impeachment bill alive

House Republicans on Tuesday prevented Democratic leaders from blocking a resolution to impeach Vice President Dick Cheney.

The vote to table the privileged resolution, offered by Ohio Democrat Dennis Kucinch, began as a largely party-line vote to kill the measure, but Republicans developed a strategy to force Democrats to debate the resolution by supporting Kucinich. GOP leaders felt as though it was in their interest to debate the measure because it would make Democrats look bad.

After more than an hour of waiting for the vote to close, the motion to table the resolution failed by a vote of 162-251 after Democratic leaders failed to convince a group of liberal caucus members to side with them.

Republican lawmakers and aides credited Rep. John Shadegg (R-Ariz.) for coming up with the idea.

Hello 2008:cheers2:My wife was looking at me like I was losing my mind when she came home as this thing was wrapping up... I couldn't help but think about what Nancy Pelosi had said before:

Just imagine my neighbors' reaction to all of this. If they were poor and they were sleeping on my sidewalk, they would be arrested. But because they have 'Impeach Bush' across their chest, it's the First Amendment.I just thought Cindy Sheehan just sent another bus load over to her house and Nancy on the phone ordering port a potties...

The really funny thing is that Kucinich will make this the gift that keeps on giving as it makes the left separate from the far left or do hours in front of microphones splain-in why they don't want to take the Repubs up on this...

Alcee Hastings (D-FLA) tells FOX NEWS: 'Dennis Kucinich is on a quest of his own. He sees flying saucers and he acts like one, too'
