The election is still a year out, but it shows how the kook left has screwed up in Congress - and how despite the liberal media providing glowing press coberage - the voters are seeeing them for what they are

Americans Widely Disappointed With Democrats in CongressMajority more displeased than content with handling of seven issues

PRINCETON, NJ -- Amidst a swirl of public dissatisfaction about the Iraq war, the economy, government corruption, and with President Bush more generally, Americans went to the polls in November 2006 and voted enough Republicans out of office to give the Democrats majority control of Congress. A year later, Americans are as negative about the job Congress is doing as they were leading up to the 2006 midterm elections. And according to recent Gallup polling, Americans are distinctly negative about the Democrats’ handling of several front-burner policy issues.

The latest Gallup Panel survey, conducted Oct. 25-28, 2007, asked Americans to say whether they are “pleased,” “neutral,” “disappointed,” or “angry” about the way the Democrats in Congress have been dealing with seven major issues confronting the nation.

Overall, relatively few Americans are pleased with the Democrats’ performance on any of them. This ranges from 7% for the federal budget deficit to 17% for terrorism. Between 12% and 26% say they are angry about the issues. However, most Americans fall in between, with the plurality generally saying they are disappointed with congressional Democrats’ performance on each.

They're not "Left", kook or otherwise. There is no Left party with any influence in American politics, I think you've only got one socialist in Congress. This is just GOP Lite and that's what's pissing people off.

it isn't necessary that either party "thrill" anyone...it is only necessary that a party get more people to begrudgingly vote for them than for the other guys.

With all the republican incumbent retirements/retreats recently, democrats can use that margin to achieve veto proof majorities to stop the insanity if a republican is elected in congress, and can use a filibuster proof majority in the senate with a democratic presidnet to ram through all sorts of bills that the right finds onerous.

So the Generic Congressional Ballot is all you have

In all but one area, more then 50% are disappointed or angry with DEMOCRATS

it is certainly not ALL that I have. It is ONE THING that I have and quickly used to point out that, regardless of how disappointed the people are with the democrats in congress, a significant majority of them would still prefer a democrat to a republican.

and again...in every poll since before 11/06 where the people are asked to grade the performance of democrats in congress versus republicans in congress, they have given the democrats higher marks...which tends to explain the first poll I posted!

Dems are stepping in it at every turn. Now they are trying to lose the war in Iraq by inserting yet another surrender date in the defense spending bill. (along with alot of pork - including $3 million to teach kids to play golf)

It is people like you that support them, that encourages them to stick the kinfe in the back of the troops
