I feel incredibly fortunate that my 11-year-old daughter has yet to succumb to the lure of boy bands and cute boy singers. The latest trend in her grade was to like cute cowboy hat singers like Jason Aldean. My daughter prefers the blues and piano-based pop songs that she can learn to play. She can play the song "Clocks" all the way through now.

As for me, my current favorite is the new Rush album, Clockwork Angels. Finally they are back to composing and playing rock songs instead of futuristic stuff.

Gotta tell ya. I was with my sister, as instructed by our Dad, who made me go with her, down to WFIL studios in Philadelphia...early sixties. Where we sat in the bleachers while Dick Clark introduced the Everly Brothers to sing "KATHY'S CLOWN".

Don't remember the year exactly. But at the time. I hated having to go with her. And it happened again a little while later, when I went with my sister to see CANDIDATE John F. Kennedy during a visit to our town. It was only memorable because. He touched my hand, and my sister's.
No big deal then. But Now???

Almost forgot. Think of the coincidences. In 1969. I married my wife, and I call her Kathy. Next March will be our 43rd anniversary.
