Oprah Winfrey to Stump for Obama

Nov 26 08:55 AM US/Eastern

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - Oprah Winfrey will join Democrat Barack Obama again on the campaign trail, this time visiting the early contest states of Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina.
The popular talk show host and media mogul plans to visit Iowa on Saturday, Dec. 8, with stops in Des Moines and Cedar Rapids. The following day, she'll travel to Columbia, S.C. Later that day, she'll visit New Hampshire, but a location hadn't been announced Monday morning.

This isn't the first time Oprah has lent her star power to the Illinois senator.

In September, she rolled out the red carpet for Obama at a gala fundraiser in California that brought in about $3 million for his campaign.

Winfrey is a well-known fan of Obama, calling him "my favorite guy" and "my choice" on CNN's "Larry King Live" last year before he announced he would seek the presidency.

In a news release announcing the events, Obama's campaign said tickets to the Iowa events will be given first to precinct captains, then campaign volunteers, then to supporters and undecided caucus-goers.

It said volunteers can be guaranteed a ticket by completing a four- hour volunteer shift or attending local caucus training before the event.

Hmmm... I don't recall oppie ever "stumping" for anybody before. But here comes a black man and... whoopdie freagin do... she's all over him like stink on shit. No... blacks don't stick together, and there's nothing racist about it, because we all know blacks can't be racist. Only white people can.

It's pretty transparent. It's all well and good for blacks to have "unity", but if whites did... off with their heads.

I don't follow Winfrey's opera much, but it doesn't take much vision to see that she is pro black. Her prerogative IMO. She is a private party who has made billions off of bleeding hearts. If she wants to support a candidate that shares some skin pigment, go for it.

Now, if she ever has made racists statements about whites doing the same, then I have a problem. But, as far as I know, I don't think she has. Her media power comes in her being somewhat "neutral." I predict this:

obama is an endorsement solely for demo points/ratings. the demo party has a woman and a black guy running, so ef you racist/sexist republicans. oh, and just ignore Bush's cabinet of POWER that makes their playboy folk hero slick willy look racist. this is posturing, nothing more.

when obama falls by the way side, she will come out in full force for Hillary. mark my words, you will see this.
