wow!! :D

What I don't get is this: We make laws in the interest of 'safety' - yet driver's education is a JOKE. A course like this would to a LONG WAY towards keeping us safe.

I'm quite familiar w/ Mr. Clarkson...he's got a bit to do with me owning the car I own.

"...Out of all the cars I've driven this year, I'm pretty sure, this one...is the best."

(except for the tires on wet roads...kinda skittish).

(pointing to it) "That is a very very very good car."

I'm informed by my German co-worker that driving standards in Germany are extremely stringent. She said she had to attend two classes a week for six-months to a year in order to obtain her driving license over there.

My then-girlfriend did the same. In fact, if she didn't test-out on a manual-transmission car, she wouldn't be licensed for one. It's that stringent (or at least was in the early 90s).
