With billions of dollars this dude will make electric solar panels competitive with traditional fossil sources. This is a bigger deal than Google itself if it happens.

If the cost of solar panels is reduced by 25% and maybe as much as 50% then the energy crunch could come to an end.

If it goes down be ready to invest... this will make a lot of money, more than Google.

People have been trying to make solar energy systems more efficient and/or inexpensive for years. Photovoltaic, solar thermal panels, solar collectors, etc. Progress has been pretty flat.

If Google can come up with a breakthrough, that would be terrific. Are they going to do something different from what researchers have been trying so far?
