we live in interesting times where locking somebody up in a cell for the remainder of their life is somehow less "cruel" than near instant death. we value the wrong lives.

maybe they should just get a big vacuum with roatating blades and suck them out of their cells .....we could call it "a really late term abortion".....

no they won't but your taxes will to pay for room and board for these "lottery winners"I was informed once that life is less expensive for the state than a death sentence. I think it was because of the legal cost but cheap is still cheap.

It has been well documented and PROVEN that the death penalty system costs FAR much more money than merely keeping people in prison for life.
