Not red as in that's what they call it as the way it's brewed. I mean mixing tomato juice with beer. Up nort' here it's quite popular. I have two different ways to drink "red beer," one is with V8 spicy hot and the other is with Clamato juice... love it... very tasty stuff. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 2] Author : Elessar Date : 08-26-2018 07:30 PM Not red as in that's what they call it as the way it's brewed. That is quite popular in the stretch between Pittsburgh down to Clarksburg WVA, through the coal mining belt. I liked mine, back then, with V-8. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 3] Author : SassyLady Date : 08-27-2018 03:54 AM I don't like beer but my daughter makes a mean Michelada with clamato and Michelob ultra light. I can tolerate but with less than half the beer. Beer makes me incredibly sleepy. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 4] Author : Abbey Marie Date : 08-28-2018 10:39 AM I've never heard of it. I can't imagine how the beer flavor can hold up to the tomato juice or V8. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 5] Author : High_Plains_Drifter Date : 08-28-2018 03:03 PM I've never heard of it. People have been drinking "red beers" here in Wisconsin since I can remember, that's why bars carry those little cans of tomato juice. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 6] Author : Hot Dogger Date : 12-15-2019 05:27 AM I've never had red beer, but I do drink white coffee, that's coffee mixed with milk of magnesia. It's very popular around here first thing in the morning. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- [Post 7] Author : Abbey Marie Date : 12-15-2019 10:49 AM I've never had red beer, but I do drink white coffee, that's coffee mixed with milk of magnesia.
