I'm not an F1 snob..I just prefer it over anything else. I seldom even see a race.

    Rice Burner?? Lmao

I prefer races where the strategy boils down to MORE than "Go fast, and turn left."

“… the greatest detractor from high performance is fear: fear that you are not prepared, fear that you are in over your head, fear that you are not worthy, and ultimately, fear of failure. If you can eliminate that fear—not through arrogance or just wishing difficulties away, but through hard work and preparation—you will put yourself in an incredibly powerful position to take on the challenges you face" - Pete Carroll.

so you prefer the ones where they turn up the traction control and crank up the down force so you can turn right and left no matter how fast you are going.....might as well watch slot car racing

I like racing with strategy and excitement. NASCAR reminds me of Interstate 405 between Renton and Bellevue, WA during rush hour. A HERD of cars flying down the road...except on 405 there's the occasional off ramp or car pool lane to make things interesting. A big ass circle which guys drive for HOURS is NOT entertainment.

Would THIS pic be COOLER if it were on a big oval track?

NASCAR has changed from the late 60's, when I started watching. Use to be about equipment, strategy, and the driver. Now, its really more about the driver, but MONEY is playing a bigger part than it ever has.

Oh, and I should mention, its about the SHOW. Never should ANYONE think its not about the show.

I don't watch as much NASCAR as I use too, even though there is more on than ever. I DO stay abreast of the drivers standings, and some other "insider" stuff.

JPM will me a large factor in NASCAR this year, and I don't mean JUST racing.

He is a talent, and has access to the best equipment, so he should do well on the track. But, more than that, I think some F1 folks will sneak a peak, and with F1 becoming sooooooooooooooooooo boring, they may become regulars.

If you want to know how NOT to run a series, just watch the wingnuts that have being doing a stellar job of running it into the ground.

I still watch F1, and most any other racing that's around, but I have to hand it too the "good old boy's" from NASCAR, they DO know how to do it.

I watched the duel qualifiers, and will be front and center on Sunday for the Daytona 500.

    Gentlemen, START YOUR ENGINES.......
If ya can't prove it, don't say it.
Bikes, babes, and beer, it don't get no better than that.

No way, that pic is awesome. My guess is that it is in the NW and what awesome track.
