Default Reid: The Senate Is on Record Against Escalation

Harry Reid is a little weasel...:wank2:

Bipartisan majority votes against escalating the war in Iraq

WASHINGTON, Feb. 17 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Senate Majority Leader
Harry Reid released the following statement on today's vote in the United
States Senate in which a bipartisan majority voted against President Bush's
flawed plan to escalate the war.
"Today, a bipartisan majority of the United States Senate voted against
the President's flawed plan to escalate the war. The Senate joined the
House of Representatives, put itself on the record, and told the President
that America needs a new direction in Iraq. As for the Republicans who
chose once again to block further debate and protect President Bush, the
American people now know they support the escalation.
"Today's vote against the escalation is not the end of this Iraq debate
in the Senate. This war is too important to permit Senate Republicans to
brush it aside. The Bush Administration's failures have put our troops and
America in a deep hole, and it is time for this country and this Congress
to climb out. The Republican Leadership can run from this debate, but they
can't hide. The Senate will keep fighting to force President Bush to change
    course."

"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself."

I guess the dems had to do something to convince themselves that thier big win was some kind of mandate against the war on terror. Non-binding resolutions

    The presidents flawed plan?

how do they know its flawed. Its barely begun. something can't be flawed that hasn't been implemented yet. what exactly is the flaw in the plan?

Lots of real issues to deal with and they have to play resolution games. This all needs to be remembered and brought up in 08. There are a lot of assholes we need to get out of the house and senate.

Sickening. Anyone watch "24"? that's quickly moving from Fiction to Prophecy. I'm telling you - before any of us know it, Nukes will be set off IN our country.

“… the greatest detractor from high performance is fear: fear that you are not prepared, fear that you are in over your head, fear that you are not worthy, and ultimately, fear of failure. If you can eliminate that fear—not through arrogance or just wishing difficulties away, but through hard work and preparation—you will put yourself in an incredibly powerful position to take on the challenges you face" - Pete Carroll.

Its ok, Harry got all those kickbacks from that Indian tribe out there in Nevada so they could get fasttracked on their casino project, his word is gold and his ethics unquestionable.

Very true. They are betting everything on the failure in iraq. they can't afford to have the military succeed. It could ruin a lot of careers.

Not to mention the 2008 elections.....

That's why they want the failure. 2008 will make or break them. If iraq succeeds and these traitors are seen for what they are they will lose big time in every area. so expect the undermine to continue with a vengence.

How many times does it take? It's been done 4 times already, with the exact same results.
