Quite honestly, I wasnt aware it was still going on.

However, if it is, it will probably end when either someone stops it or they run out of people to kill.
If we were as industrious to become good as to make ourselves great, we should become really great by being good, and the number of valuable men would be much increased; but it is a grand mistake to think of being great without goodness; and i pronounce it as certain that there was never yet a truly great man that was not at the same time truly virtuous." - Ben Franklin

Africa as a whole has a problem with currupt governments, ethnic cleansing and tribal infighting.

The only way to stop the fighting would be to go in guns blazing and take over the place. Then we're stuck with another Iraq, with the people not wanting us there and our country not wanting us there.

The few stable countries in Africa are now going to shit, Zimbabwea for one, because they kicked out all the people who knew what they were doing and put corrupt politicians in their place.

If Sudan had oil or was ruled by a cartoonish Muslim dictator, we would have invaded a couple of years ago.
But since they are only poor black people with no political value, we let them starve to death.

how do you know they don't have oil? It's not like the place is peaceful enough to do any sort of inquiry.

Besides, if you are tired of us dealing with the middle east for oil, then stop supporting politicians who want to cripple our own oil production for the money of environmentalist wackos.
