For me, I think Blacks got an honest leg up with Brown V Bd of Ed. Escalated in the 60's and 70's, they haven't looked back. Some however were harmed by the policies of welfare and 'general welfare' of the same time period. It's been a mixed bag, having more to do in likelihood with nurture than nature.

What I'm saying is that you Democrats have put exemplary effort into keeping the black man in his place, starting with slavery, then terrorism, then segregation, and now Affirmative Action and Welfare. Obama is simply part of the latest two movements, and whining about the first three, which had no impact on him or his ancestry.
