Default SoCal air regulators pass new restrictions on home fireplaces

the politicians are going crazy out there...must be something in the air...

Air regulators have approved new restrictions that will limit the use of fireplaces in four Southern California counties.

The regulations approved Friday include no-burn days and a ban on the building of wood-burning fireplaces in new homes, are intended to reduce pollution.

The South Coast Air Quality Management District estimates that the 1.4 million fireplaces in the region emit more than four times the amount of harmful emission than from all the power plants.

If you lived there you would know the air on cold nights can be unbearable to breathe. The reason is wood particulates. That comes from fireplaces.
A chance for a new beginning, like a dawn of reconciliation.

It's not in the air, it's in the government. They are liberals, with the intent of achieving a perfect society by controlling every facet of it. Not fundamentally different from liberals elsewhere, but the ones here have just had a little more leeway to expand and control their subjects. It's not particularly Californian - that's just where they happen to be right now.

Coming soon to a Federal government near you, if you keep voting for them.

You ought to live here when it's 50 below zero..... there will be 10 to 15 cars running outside the bars so the engines won't freeze, while were shooting pool and having a good old time...

    Never once had that problem.
