conservatives supported anti slavery. lincoln, a republican, and conservative (despite your protestations which i have no doubt will come) made abolition possible.

i never mentioned women's suffrage, but will research it. i mentioned civil rights and how without republicans (majority of whom were conservatives) were largely responsible for civil rights. did you read my link
