Roaches are easy kill. If you follow my lead, you can rid your apartment of all roaches within an hour. First, drink a cold beer. Next, pour at least 5 gallons of gasoline all over your apartment. Stand by the door. Light a match and toss it in. Run. No more roaches.

I lived in an apartment during my junior year in college that had a major roach problem. We had the exterminators over and it helped temporarily. The problem was that our neighbors were pigs and the roaches would just go there and hang out until the poison in our apartment wore off, then they were back.

The next year, I moved to another apartment in another building, no roaches.

I think if you have roaches and you live in an apartment building, you might be fighting a losing battle if your neighbors are dirty. If all the solutions that the other posters suggested don't work, you might consider moving...

Last year, the people living above me brought roaches in, fed them and then moved out, leaving all their sh... stuff behind. Guess where the roaches went?

Yup. I had lots of new, crunchy little friends. Ugh.

My landlord had to bomb the upstairs 3 or 4 times, my apartment at least twice, plus spray both apartments more than once. But I haven't seen any critters since.
Argue for your limitations, and sure enough, they're yours.

    Advance Cockroach Gel Bait.

TOTALLY wiped em out in a house. I donno how it would work for an apartment with other folks feeding em.. A bit pricey at $35 but will worth it.
