    Yeah, once you get into relativity, though, you're still not creating energy. You're converting mass into energy, or perhaps it was already energy that somehow had mass. It's kinda fuzzy at that level.

    That would be fusion, and 30 years ago "they" were telling us that it was 40 years into the future. Now "they" are telling us it is 40 years into the future.

    But in the meantime, we have 103 nuclear power plants in the US operating 24/7/365 near 100% capacity for decades, no deaths or injuries, no pollution, and no CO2, and the environmental whackos are telling us that its unsafe and we can't build any more.
