Default $4 per gallon gas is cheap!

Or so says this columnist. Can't say I disagree with him.

you know gabs, i am not usually mean like this. But screw you.
If we were as industrious to become good as to make ourselves great, we should become really great by being good, and the number of valuable men would be much increased; but it is a grand mistake to think of being great without goodness; and i pronounce it as certain that there was never yet a truly great man that was not at the same time truly virtuous." - Ben Franklin

The price is never going to come back down. Its going to get to $4 or $5 before it stays there.

And the democrat party said that would lower gas prices if they got control of congress. They got control and prices went up $1.00 per gallon. Care to explain why your party, the democrat party, loves to lie to and screw Americans?

Over the last 89 years, the average retail price of gasoline has increased almost 14X, from 25.5 cents per gallon in 1919 to $3.517 per gallon in 2008, according to annual price data from the EIA. Over the same period, the price of a first-class stamp in the U.S. has increased 21X, from 2 cents in 1919 to 42 cents in 2008 (starting Monday, May 12), according to historical stamp price data available here. The chart above compares the two prices using an index that is equal to 100 in 1919 for both series.

Yup. That's a fack, Jack. No matter what happens, no matter if we drill and there's more oil than we'll ever need for as long as we use it, the price is never coming back down.

I thought about selling my Harley a few months back. I don't know why now. The thing gets 45 mpg city and 50 mpg highway. It's almost a necessity now, and selling it is completely out of the question.

Yes, compared to bricks of gold, 4$ gas is cheap.

You'd wonder why you never got one before. Every time I ride my Harley, even after all these years, the novelty of it and love for the ride is still there.

Riding a bike to work in the morning would be a trip. I'd be able to skirt in and out of Atlanta traffic like a ninja. Not to mention the coolness factor of driving a bike would be really high. The only thing is rain and cold would suck balls.
