In the case or corn ethanol I agree with you, but not to the extent of murder. Bio-diesel, however, is made from waste oils. Likewise methane can be produced by anaerobic digestion of waste organics. These technologies divert material away from landfills, and any residue remaining makes excellent fertilizer to grow more crops. Therefore one could more easily advocate that to oppose biofuels is murder.
How about nuclear energy. Is that murder also?
