i don't think it actually got bit, at least enough to release venom. The bunny wouldn't have lasted as long as it did. Rattler venom only takes minutes to affect the CNS of an average size human. The bunny would have way less time.

Donno Fuzz, I picked up an 84 year old woman once that had been bitten on the back of her hand by one. She lasted about an hour before she pasted out (she lived as far as I know), I think the rabbit would go 5-10.
