Nwo?

I have a long-time friend of mine who firmly believes that the "New World Order" is behind most everything that happens to our country - from the chosen (hand-picked by the NWO) presidential candidates to our constitution slowing being ripped out from under us.

It got me wondering - does anyone here also believe in the NWO conspiracy to eventually create a One World Government?

It got me wondering - does anyone here also believe in the NWO conspiracy to eventually create a One World Government?

I have heard, read, and participated in more than a few discussions about this "New World Order" and I have always been struck with one thought: This guy's paranoid.

While I suppose it is possible that such an organization exists and is working to manipulate governments on a global scale, I guess I just don't have what it takes to buy into the idea without substantial evidence pointing to not only the group itself, but it's machinations as well.

I certainly do not believe that a "One World Government" will come about in our lifetime, but I can't help thinking that one day it will happen. I suppose this is because I watched too much Star Trek as a young man.

This is an interesting topic, I look forward to the responses.

I don't beleive in the NWO conspiracy. I do, however, believe that the UN will become the One-World Government. I bemoan the day it happens.

Its not a "conspiracy", the UN is openly headed toward this. Obama openly admits he wants to "remake" the world.

In the past when common sense was the norm, such wishes had to be kept secret. Now its completely acceptable to be a "worldly socialist" with dreams of making everyone a better "global citizen." They want a world without borders, complete income redistribution, and government control over everything, all under the guise of protecting the citizens and "environment".

I think a NWO is simply evolving. It doesn't need secret mettings or members. We're going global very quickly and people think it cant' happen without someone intentional driving it in that direction. It's just the natural consequence "old world orders" melding into a new one.
Only thing intersesting about it to me is to watch the power struggles involved as to who gets to be the big cheese.

I don't think any organization believes in a organizational controlled NWO more than the John Birch Society. Yet after all the meetings my parents took me too and sent me too I am still not convinced that their is any sinister organization controlling all things in politics.

However from a Biblical standpoint I think there may be some credence to a NWO during the tribulation.
