While gas prices are at record highs and American families are feeling the economic pinch, Congress may just decide to boost gas prices even higher. Their reason will be to save jobs.

As the Associated Press reported on July 20, “Now, lawmakers quietly are talking about raising fuel taxes by a dime from the current 18.4 cents a gallon on gasoline and 24.3 cents on diesel fuel.”

Obama and Gore travel the world telling us to sell our SUV's in order to "save the Earth" and reduce our dependence of foreign oil.

Meanwhile the gov. wrings their hands and complains that US citizens are actually listening and using less gas and cutting into their taxes.

What I would love to see our gov. do is PICK A SIDE.

Environmental compliance costs? Tax dollars for the EPA? It's already happening. They're just trying to be subtle about it.
