Default Politics of the Race Card

McCain Gurgles in the Slime By Ishmael Reed

"McCain campaign manager, Rick Davis, in a television performance, which, if he were a woman, would be called strident, or a black man, angry, faced down a cowed Andrea Mitchell after she questioned him about a McCain ad that even offended the Time’s gentle Bob Hebert. Herbert wrote: ”Now, from the hapless but increasingly venomous McCain campaign, comes the slimy Britney Spears and Paris Hilton ad. The two highly sexualized women (both notorious for displaying themselves to the paparazzi while not wearing underwear) are shown briefly and incongruously at the beginning of a commercial critical of Mr. Obama...."

"...Rachel Maddow, the brightest of the on air commentators, David Gergen and Ron Brownstein deciphered the racist codes of Davis’s recent appeals, for example, that Obama was “presumptuous, ”while black on- camera puppets of the far right denied that this was the case. They all seemed to be employers of Rev. Sun Moon, one of whom was used to frame the discussion on Jonathan Klein’s sinister attempt at gaining ratings, the sleazy infotainment spectacular, “Black In America, ”replete with the sort of images of blacks CNN runs each day: criminals, addicts, sexual predators ( especially when the victims are white women) and the stragglers of American society, only this time dignified with panels- a carnival of charismatics- who competed with each other for applause lines. Klein, America’s Julius Streicher and Davis probably think that their values are superior to Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan’s family’s...."

Who is it that is always bringing up the race thing..??

The Obambam and his cult members...

because that is the only thing they have to run on, or people would see that he has nothing, nada, zip of experience or any platform that is good for our country..

"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself."

Ahhhhhh, poor Obama, getting picked on just like any other candidate would. Why won't the mean republicans just give up and start singing his praises???

If Obama wants to stop being acused of using the race card maybe he should stop bringing up his race.

Personnally I think McCain would do better to scrap the idiotic paris ad and start running some on his voting record. Although, anyone acusing that ad of being racist or sexist is an idiot IMO. The ad simply pointed out, correctly IMO, that Obama has no experience and has done nothing to deserve the kind of celebrity that he has. Just like Paris and Britney.

I'm don't know if they are liberals - do you know them too? And is evidence of something not allowed? Liberal is a word doesn't help much.

obama is a racist, but you saying over and over that repubs are does not make it so

Huh!!!! I know many dems who are racists.

"According to a July New York Times/CBS News poll, when whites were asked whether they would be willing to vote for a black candidate, 5 percent confessed that they would not. That’s not so bad, right? But wait. The pollsters then rephrased the question to get a more accurate portrait of the sentiment. They asked the same whites if most of the people they knew would vote for a black candidate. Nineteen percent said that those they knew would not. Depending on how many people they know and how well they know them, this universe of voters could be substantial. That’s bad."

are you seriously claiming that the ad with Paris and Brittney are racist?
If we were as industrious to become good as to make ourselves great, we should become really great by being good, and the number of valuable men would be much increased; but it is a grand mistake to think of being great without goodness; and i pronounce it as certain that there was never yet a truly great man that was not at the same time truly virtuous." - Ben Franklin

i just read your quote....WTF....why is it ok for blacks to vote for him solely because he is black? even his greatest cult follower, mfm, supports blacks voting for him because he is black.

according to his cult followers, this is ok because they identify with him being black. maybe a white person doesn't and wants to vote white. so what, that is their right, to vote how they please. it is the libs who play the race card at every chance....pathetic.

lol....well let's see....the title of the first article is "McCain Gurgles in the Slime".....the title of the second. from the NYTimes begins "Spare me any more drivel about the high-mindedness of John McCain"......

and you don't know if they are liberals?.....

as far as evidence of something.....I believe what you wanted to provide evidence of was Republicans bringing up the issue of race.....instead you gave us non-Republicans bringing up race.....
