I don't know why I even bother. You fucking morons have to turn every single thread into liberal vs. conservative, GOP vs. Dem horseshit.
I wanted to launch a discussion on the pluses and minuses of having Carter appear at the Dem convention. Instead, the asswipe braindead conservatives have to pick fights with the numbnuts liberals, who have to flame back. And it is like that in almost every thread on this board.
No one can discuss anything sensible here. It's all attack bullshit. Which can almost be expected, since every other thread or post is by retarded RSR, brain fried Psychoblues or childish freak Martin. All together proving no sense at all.

My husband is a conservative. His parents are hard core straight edge Republicans going way back. My parents are 60's hippies, the most liberal couple you can imagine. But we can all get together and discuss politics without any acrimony.
Sure, we argue a lot. Sometimes even raise our voices. But it is all factual and heartfelt. No one sources ultra-right-wing blogs or laces comments with personal insults.

I am sure this will get worse as Election Day approaches. There is too much political bias and racial/ethnic hatred for it not to. I can have more rational discussions with my daughter than with many of you people. At least my daughter can remain on subject and not make excuses when she doesn't know else to say.

I love this board, but it is going nowhere fast. Too much ignorance, too much hatred, too much military killing machine bias and too uneducated people pretending they know everything.
How many threads manage to keep on topic and not devolve into insult exchanges and idiot side stories? None maybe? Perhaps because DP has too many sex-starved male moderators who are too busy posting boob threads and stroking off to porn to see that the board runs properly.
I wish Abbey had her own board. She is only one of you that has any sense.

The reason threads usually get derailed in such a manner is because the liberals on this board are exteremly far left. I was raised in a family that was and still is staunchly Democrat. However, none of my family have ever displayed the hatefullness and stupidity displayed by the loons on this board. Most of my family is from Arizona, and they all know McCain of course, and some really don't like his policies. But do you think any of them ever thought of him or called him "Hanoi John" the way a certain rabid liberal on this board does? They know he is a man of great character and they never attack his character, they just don't like his policies. Fair enough. But do we ever get that kind of arguement from the liberals here? Never. Its all hate-filled lies and disgusting attacks on not just McCain, but any conservative or Republican. Perhaps you should do a little soul searching yourself before you go and blame everyone else for the way threads turn out.

But I'm curious as to what you feel I did to deserve your scorn? Sure, I'm a boobie fanatic, but I VERY rarely EVER remember starting threads about it, although I might interject in a humorous thread. I also honestly thought you and I had no issue whatsoever with one another.

Also, don't think I ever saw Jeff, MtnBiker or Avatar start the type of threads you mention. I don't think I ever saw any of the three outright flame anyone, or at least without extremely good reason. I know Jackass enjoys boobies as much as me, but I believe he has a heart of gold and I've never seen him do anything to go out of his way and be insulting to others. Kathianne has recently been brought back to staff and obviously doesn't fit the criteria you mention.

The rest of what you said has some merit, but I won't address it as it's between all the adults on this board.

I can curtail a ton of what you mention but I believe that would be restricting the freedoms I want everyone to have. I give everyone those freedoms and then get accused of running things improperly.

As I said many, many times before - as an owner you are in a no win situation.

I just read the thread you reference. While there are a few guilty parties of flaming and derailing, looks to me like you can lay the initial blame squarely on one Mr. Joe Steel. While all the dominoes may be wrong for taking the bait, the initial domino is responsible for starting the falling.
