    Default Veterans: can we do more, are we doing enough?, what do you think should be done?

    I'd like to ask the veterans especially to comment on this

    I don't think veterans really "want" anything material. Just knowing that what they did in their service is appreciated..... is priceless.

    Now, Georgia does give vets free drivers license, that's nice.

    I agree with you, most of us are not asking for a thing. A free drivers license would be cool. I have not learned everything there is to learn about the benefits of being a vet. Since I am still in the service I have never had to think about it. I am meeting with a VA rep. tomorrow to learn about that.

    If I could ask for one thing, it would be not to pay taxes. I think that would be fair. I think military pensions should be tax free. But it will never happen.
