Did you know they STILL haven't buried him?
Yes, I did. Wanna know why? Because I live in North Augusta, right on the other side of the river from Augusta, the Godfather's adopted town. And, the news has been NONSTOP!!!!! I'm so sick of it, I'd like to smoke PCP, beat my wife, drive drunk, then have a statue erected in my honor. I don't care how many good songs the guy wrote, he was a piece of garbage. And, believe me, this attitude is not winning me any friends around here!
Well if it's any consolation, I agree with you just for the wife beating.
There was some news thing I stumbled on yesterday that said his family or handlers or whatever were planning to make his house into a Graceland of Soul.
Typical, make a hero out of a criminal scumbag. I never thought he could even sing. hated his music.
When I die I'm sure to go to heaven, cause I spent my time in hell.
You get more with a kind word and a two by four, than you do with just a kind word.
Here's the thing: for the last 3 or 4 years of his life, he was very much a part of the Augusta community, hanging out on the streets, chit-chatting with whoever, basically a really cool guy. I guess a lot of people are just more inclined to forgive and forget than I am.
Crap, I should be going to hell for laughing as hard as I did when seeing this pic!
