PORT ST. LUCIE, FL (WFLX) - Passion over this year's presidential election turns violent.

Port St. Lucie Police arrested 26-year-old Johnny Morales for attacking a John McCain supporter.

Morales was dining at Chili's in St. Lucie West and was talking loudly about his support for Barack Obama.

Police say a McCain supporter dining at the next booth asked him too keep it down, and, then, the two began arguing about politics from separate booths in the restaurant.

"Apparantly the comment was I hate Obama, and from there the person stood up walked over to him and shoved his head into the wall."

The victim, a McCain supporter, did not return our calls. But his wife told Fox 29, it was a political argument, and they do not want to speak about it.

interesting the different responses from libs on this board, when a mccain supporter yelled something hateful, no violence, just yelling, most libs on this board blamed mccain and palin...

i wonder why they haven't blamed obama and biden for these actual acts of violence...and if someone says "proof", there is no proof the yelling occurred either

I never said, nor suggested, that saying that you don't like Obama or even saying 'I hate Obama' encourages or justifies violence. I was looking at a bigger picture than that.

by thinking that maybe all of these attempts to denigrate Obama and call him a muslim and a marxist and suggesting that he is anti-American instead of concentrating on policy differences might tend to raise the animosity on both sides of the fence.
