    Default More Global Warming Hysteria

This story disproves itself, yet, there were still 155 news agencies that had published it (as of 4:00PM EDT, 28 March 2007)

Cities at Risk of Rising Sea Levels

LONDON Mar 27, 2007 (AP)— More than two-thirds of the world's large cities are in areas vulnerable to global warming and rising sea levels, and millions of people are at risk of being swamped by flooding and intense storms, according to a new study released Wednesday.

In all, 634 million people live in the threatened coastal areas worldwide defined as those lying at less than 33 feet above sea level and the number is growing, said the study published in the journal Environment and Urbanization.

In February, the IPCC warned of sea-level rises of 7-23 inches by the end of the century due to global warming, making coastal populations vulnerable to flooding and more intense hurricanes and typhoons.
    ------------------

At 15 inches per century, it would take 2,640 years for all people who live at 33 feet above sea level (or lower) to be dispossessed of their property. So to say that these cities are somehow "at risk" is like saying that America is at risk of being invaded by Sri Lanka.

And lets not forget how much more vulnerable they are to hurricanes and typhoons. 33 feet makes such a big difference when dealing those storms. Living on the coast has its advantages and disadvantages.
When I die I'm sure to go to heaven, cause I spent my time in hell.

You get more with a kind word and a two by four, than you do with just a kind word.

Let's not forget all the reports on sunspots or glacier melting on Mars.
