Really divide the country- what do you think would happen?

Just for fun, what do you think would happen if we divided up the U.S. into two halves: one half for true liberals, and one half for true conservatives? No moderates in my scenario.

For the sake of argument, it doesn't matter which half goes to which, as we try to make it essentially separate but equal.

The two halves operate independently. No money flows across to the other side. Neither side can come to the aid of the other, and the world knows this. Each side has its own laws, and own federal budget to spend as it sees fit, with no restrictions.

Given that, which half do you think would end up:

1. With the largest budget deficit?
2. With the most crime?
3. Attacked or invaded first by another country?

well the right half....would have guns, farms, churches, a military, big companies, jobs, and everyone would have to work...

the left side would have social programs, no guns, no military, no religion, free healthcare, no big evil companies, no walmarts, free drugs, free love, gay marriage, solar power, wind power, no gas stations, peta, hollywood, rosie odonell...there would be no reason to invade them they don't have anything worth taking...

This is actually kind of amusing. I was at a message board where some liberal was calling for California to secede from the Union because it was the 5th largest economy in the world on its own.

Of course, if California ever did do such a thing, the economy would likely be destroyed overnight with companies and people fleeing away from the socialist government.

if you look at california and the way it votes they would only get san francisco and LA the rest of the state is red
