Enjoy! I first saw it when I was a freshman in high school. It changed the way I think.

Interesting, just finished the flick, so how did it change the way you used to think? Which character did you identify with the most? (that guy who played the Journalist was HOT)

A Clockwork Orange, my fav film of all time, though this trailer is kinda mis-leading, the story is that of th state and the citizen, and how both use eachother, and of how soceity treats those who have done wrong,

    <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Ea2IP0a_xhQ&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Ea2IP0a_xhQ&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

1984, I'm sure you will all have seen this, another movie of State vs Citizen,

    <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Z4rBDUJTnNU&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Z4rBDUJTnNU&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

V for Vendetta, an amazing new-ish movie, kinda along the same lines as 1984

    <object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/6rRn8kM4-ds&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/6rRn8kM4-ds&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>

I fear I am already on such lists, having gone to peaceful protests in my country, were the police can record such gatherings on video and hold them for two years, =/

And I've already got my mask sorted for when the revolution comes =)

Nori thanks for your input, I juust watched 1984 again a couple months ago I remember feeling really powerless & paranoid when I read the book. The first time I watched a clockwork orange I was a teen and had a huge crush on malcom mcdowell, LOL, bioth are great flicks, both make me paranoid and cynical. I have not seen the 3rd trailer you listed so I'm looking forward to watching it this week

PS. Of those 3 movies you listed what do you identify with the most about yourself and offline life?

Nukeman the trailer for the new movie looks awesome, perhaps the debate policy member should have a movie day and we all go see that movie the day it comes out and come back and post our reviews together, a group outing he he...I've seen the first movie although it was so long ago I am going to watch it again because I only remember it vaguely, the 2nd one the fountain I have never seen, so which do you recomend first the old turner classic or the 2nd fountain show?

The Fountain is a really good movie. You really have to watch ALL of it to keep up. If you miss some of it you can get lost. Trigg liked for one reason and one reason only (it had Hugh Jackman in it).

Any film that makes you more paranoid and cynical is true to life...or maybe that's just me being paranoid and cynical =/

Interesting question, of them all I would say V for Vendetta, due to my involvement in Anonymous to try and rid the world of the many free-speech opressors, such as the Project Chanology to crush the 'Church' of $cientology, Project SkyNet for freedom on the Internet, Project GreenWave for the preservation of democracy in Iran, and so forth
