Local gun place happened to have a replacement spring for me! I'm gonna get her fixed and try to shoot tonite.

I hustled home from work tonight and gather my stuff. When the kids got home I took them out to the range for the inaugural firing of the M4.
Attached you'll see my target for the first 9 rounds. NO zeroing - everything as set by the factory - including the eotech. Target was approximately 25 yards away.
Red shots: Shots #1,2,3, Seated, supported.
White shots: 4,5,6, seated, supported
Blue shots: 7,8,9 standing, unsupported (no sling).
I'm very happy - Vids will be posted tonite.
From the first round the weapon functioned flawlessly. I doused the innards with CLP before shooting.
I shot PMC 55gr FMJ-BT

Had to laugh when I read the part about the spring. If I made minimum wage for the hours I have spent looking for flying parts I could own one of those babys. Glad the gun shop was able to bail you out. You are now ready to mess up some bad guys day.
There is no wrong way to do the right thing.
