cherish each and every moment. never take for granted a single second. a wise friend once told me something like this:

every moment you spend dealing with things other then your familiy and friends is a waste

because when your time here is over they are the only ones that will care

i didn't really get it when my friend said this, but i do now. even when death has not come for a close friend or family member, there is a state of existence where death is not measured in the ethereal or eventual when, rather, in an identifiable and concrete when. or there is the instant death, it really doesn't matter, cherishing them in life is all that matters.

be there for the ones you love. live your life to the fullest. cliches, sure, however, maybe there is a reason such sayings exist.

I just spent the week with my 83 year old grandma and it was wonderful. Took her to see her first basketball game which was my daughters game. I cherished every moment of it.
"If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen."
    Samuel Adams
