    Default Crime Story

Do any of you guys remember this show from the '80s? I was a teenager back when it was on the air and really liked it.

I looked around on the 'net and found some interesting things regarding that show. Dennis Farina was a retired cop from Chicago before he was asked to play the lead in this show, and the Bad Guy in the show was actually busted in real life by Farina years before.

    From Wiki :

Before becoming an actor, Dennis Farina was a member of the Chicago police department, as was series co-creator Adamson. John Santucci, who played mobster and safecracker Pauli Taglia, was, in his past, a notorious jewel thief. The museum score depicted in the pilot episode was based on a real heist in which Santucci participated. In his previous career Santucci had been arrested by both Adamson and Farina.
Another thing that surprised me was that Del Shannon, the guy who sang 'Runaway' used for the theme, blew himself away after taking prozac in 1990.

I vaguely remember it, the 80's was a bit of a blur for me, LOL, but what I remember of it it was a good show, and just listening to the music in the first few seconds I know I would watch it now

    Default Siskal, Ebert and Hog....

Off the top of my head I think my first pick for all time fav TV shows might be Northern Exposure from the early 90s.

That is possibly subject to change of course if I dwell on the matter long enough.
