So it's okay to murder them before they're 12 weeks old.... why?

You can't murder a "person" who has yet to become a person. There are thousands of living organisms within the human body. Including the female egg and the male sperm.
A lot of this is the religious fundies seeking to impose their viewpoints on others.

At what point does life begin?

Ya know what's ironic here? Under the Declaration of Independence we have a "RIGHT TO LIFE, liberty and the pursuit of land (was later changed to say happiness)... however, there was NEVER a "Right" to killing the unborn from the framers of this country...

Additionally, the "Right to life" doesn't preclude anyone - not even those who don't yet have a voice to be heard...

By your ignorant assertion, you're trying to say that human life can somehow begin from an inanimate object? Can a rock all of a sudden become a guitar?

Can a human baby all of a sudden just appear inside the womb?

Life starts as life... There is no evidence at all that proves human life begins at any other time than the point of conception.
