there has been a lot of chatter behind the scenes and on the board about personal attacks.

Some gestures have been submitted about a truce.

I do not in the slightest believe that those gestures are sincere because the rightwingbots on the board do not appear to recognize their own sins that initiated all the recent conflict.

That is my unfounded opinion. Not yet a proven fact.

So let's find out.

I offer a truce to any poster who signs on and agrees to it in this thread.

I will stop personal attacks of you if you stop personal attacks against me.

Anybody who signs onto the thread posting the words "I sign on" agrees to extend those terms to each and every other poster who also signs on.

And a personal attack is an attack or insult against a person, not a group.

A personal attack is anything you say about a person that is insulting to that person as it would be perceived by an objective third party.

I will not sign the truce unless several of the rightwads who initiated the recent campaigns of personal attacks sign on.

It would be acceptable to apply this truce to every forum except the steel cage which was designed as a place for personal attacks.

I will wait for the righties to draw up the truce they want to agree to, a few of them to sign on, and if they do I will join them if i agree that it is fairly written.

Put up, or stop complaining.
