First rescue/foster of the season

I worked at Fix for Life (low cost spay/neuter clinic) today and brought home
a little bitty fellow, maybe 4 weeks old. A man found it all alone in the bed
of his truck.

Hes very vocal and I think he was the offspring of a feral cat as he hissed and
growled all day until he figured out no one was going to eat him!!!!

Hes too little to go into the shelter (not old enough to fix and too young to
survive the germs that circulate in any shelter). So we will fatten him up
and return him to the shelter when he is 3 lbs.

Kitten season is in full swing...eeeeek!

good for you! I wish we could do some fostering,but we allready have 4 cats and 2 big dogs. Our golden/shepard mix doesn't like some other dogs,some he seems ok with.

The high risk factor of fostering is that you get attached!

Hes so cute, purring and rolling over on his back. Id post a picture but I
never have any luck doing that.

That would be the hard part of fostering for us. I would get attached,but so would the kids. Especially my daughter,she's passionate about animals like her mom.

Reuben is rotten to the core. He likes to be held upside down on this back
while he stretches all four legs and gets kisses from his foster mom.
Ive got to get pictures of him...hes darling. His personality is off the scale!

There are so many animals displaced from the TN floods if you know anyone
nearby who can take in an animal please have them contact Metro Animal
Control in Nashville or Nashville Humane.
