On my birthday I had to put Gretel asleep. After spending about $500 to cure a severe blader infection, she only got worse
She was losing control of her bladder and was going constantly everywhere. She was showing signs of pain, and was losing weight
I had no choice, and I will miss her

Thanks to everyone. I miss her, but she is no longer in pain, and is at peace

Oh red states, Im so sorry. She was a beauty though.
About 5 years ago I went through what they thought was
a persistent bladder infection with Trudy....numerous ultra sounds,
repeated blood work, cultures, several medications. Trudy
was 16 and after all was said and done apparently she had
cancer further up than the bladder where we were all looking!
Gretel was a magnificent tortie. Love torties. I know you
miss her terribly.......
So sorry.

What are reparations? Making me pay
for something I had nothing to do with compensates no one
who suffered an injustice therefore I would be penalized for
something I didnt do and someone else would receive a settlement
for an injury they did not suffer.

Thanks sweetheart. Gretel lives on in my heart and my memories of her. It is always hard to make that kind of decision. I do not mind spending the money if it means they are cured and continue to live a good life. In this case there was nothing I could doOh red states, Im so sorry. She was a beauty though.

Thanks Sitarro. I keep thinking back to the day I found her. She was a tiny kitten sitting on the double yellow line on the road leading to my house (she was with her brother Hanzel)
I pulled over and called them over (to get them off the road) and the rest is history

Yes, all mine are off the mean and harsh streets as well. I also feed 3 strays outside
The local Wal Mart loves it when I go to their Pet Department and stock up on cat food and cat litter. I am a great stimulus plan for them
